For VST3 - nothing. VST3 was already free software under GPL3. They just changed to a more permissive license. The experimental Wayland support is probably of more importance to us. Wayland is currently an unsolved problem as far as audio plugin UIs are concerned (every plugin requires X11/Xwayland) and VST3 is now the only plugin spec to have taken a first step to solve it.
For ASIO, it means that we can now legally distribute Windows builds with ASIO support (we couldn’t before).
