No midi device detected and midi track audio output on both Flatpack and Installer versions of zrythm

Major Midi bug making the software unusable.

On the Flatpack version of Zrythm my MIDI device wouldn’t be detected at all, regardless of the audio back-end i ran and settings i chose, I don’t know if this is related but when I go to select an audio output for my midi tracks no devices show up, this means ALL my midi tracks cant play audio, basically turning the software into a really fancy sampler.

What is interesting, is that on the version i installed via the install script (ver: v19dfba8) would let me use ALSA on the midi section and when i rebooted zrythm i could see my MpK mini 3 and select it, still no option to select midi audio output though.

whats even more interesting, when i load up qpwgraph there seems to be no compatible output
for midi, so i cant even manually patch in the audio output. (this is for both versions)

Flatpack version (1.0.0) having no way to patch in MIDI output.

note the install script version (v19dfba8) lets me use ALSA whereas the flatpack ver wont.

gimme a shout and Id be happy to share more info if you need!

I would have to look into the device issue but MIDI tracks do not have audio output by design. You’re looking for an Instrument track.

Ahh, my apologies for the confusion, I feared I wasn’t reading things correctly and that seems to be the case. I Wish I could provide some data on why my midi device isn’t being detected but I fear I might say things with lack of proper knowledge, Like I did in the post…
