Dear Zrythm Community,
I’m proud to announce the release of Zrythm v1.0.0. This is a significant milestone that marks the maturity of our GNU/Linux version, while development continues at full speed for v2.
Current Release Status
Zrythm v1.0.0 is now production-ready on GNU/Linux systems. Windows and Mac versions are available in beta quality, and users on these platforms can explore Zrythm’s features while v2 development progresses.
Zrythm v2: Building the Future
The development of v2 is advancing rapidly. Our switch to C++20 with JUCE and Qt6/QML is already showing excellent results. The new architecture makes development faster and more efficient, while maintaining the solid backend logic from v1. Early prototypes are demonstrating improved cross-platform performance and enhanced maintainability.
Development Focus
My primary focus is now on v2, where the new technology stack is enabling us to implement features more efficiently than ever before. For v1, I’ll address any critical issues that arise, ensuring a stable experience for current users.
A Note on Scale
Professional DAWs typically evolve over decades with large teams behind them. Zrythm is primarily a one-person project, and the progress we’ve made is substantial. Your financial support through donations and purchases directly enables more development time and better features.

Thank You
Your support and feedback have been instrumental in reaching this milestone. I look forward to sharing more updates as v2 development progresses.
